LOUISIANA NATIVE NAMED “BEST ENTREPRENEUR”

Tereson Thomas receives top honor in
3rd annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business

NEW IBERIA, La., March 5, 2007 – Tereson Thomas, the CEO of New Iberia, Louisiana-based Mother of Eden Inc., and inventor of the patented FuzziBunz™ pocket diaper system, was named “Best Entrepreneur” during a gala event held in New York City on March 2, 2007 in honor of the 3rd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run worldwide and the Stevies organization has been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post.

Thomas won Best Entrepreneur of a non-service business up to 100 employees and was selected over three other finalists in her category.  More than 600 nomination entries were submitted for consideration and women in more than 34 categories were honored for their efforts.

Thomas, a New Orleans native, Broussard resident and graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, says she’s honored to be this year’s Best Entrepreneur.  She has been building Mother of Eden for nearly eight years and invented and patented the widely popular FuzziBunz™ pocket diapering system in 1999.  In her acceptance speech, Thomas said, “Necessity is the mother of invention, and necessity is what led me to invent FuzziBunz™.  FuzziBunz™ diapers continue to be the leading reusable diapering solution for today’s real moms and it’s a good feeling to see a mom and businesswoman like me being recognized nationally for her achievements.”

Thomas says that this award has validated her hard work and dedication over the past eight years.  “It is a real privilege to accept this award on behalf of the loyal FuzziBunz™ customers around the world who already know that diapering can be simple, convenient and sustainable,” adds Thomas.

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected the Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging.

About FuzziBunz™

FuzziBunz™ pocket diapers are a convenient and sustainable diapering solution for today’s busy parents. The patented FuzziBunz™ Stay Dry Diapering System ensures no leaks, no rash and no waste. FuzziBunz™ is a reusable cloth diaper that includes three layers: 1) a waterproof outer barrier to keep wetness contained, 2) a soft microfleece inner layer that touches a baby’s skin and pulls away moisture, and 3) a unique,  pocket-style opening that enables a parent to customize the absorbency using super absorbent micro-terrycloth pads.  Stay-at-home-mom, Tereson Thomas, invented FuzziBunz™ in January 1999 in response to her infant son’s chronic diaper rash and her overall dissatisfaction with all available diapers.  Tereson stitched the first FuzziBunz™ in her home and a short time later, the FuzziBunz™ diapering movement was born.  Today, FuzziBunz™ are sold through Internet retailers worldwide.  For more information about FuzziBunz™, or its parent company, Mother of Eden, please visit www.fuzzibunz.com.
